I release my music under the name Suburbanoid. I compose relaxing, peaceful music. I specialize in playing my Gretsch (G5622T) guitar with a Ebow to get it to sound like a flute or a violin.
Please find below my proposal for an artist sponsorship. One is for a Virtual Concert film series I started during the pandemic. The other is for a live Music/wellness event series I am looking for sponsors for.
Most recently (August 2023) I signed a sync publishing deal with APM Music (Universal/Sony). They are creating a library of my music to add to there sync library for Films,TV, etc. They especially like my Ebow guitar style peaceful music.

I perform my sound bath meditation (music /wellness series at Meditation Mount in Ojai, California (Ticketed price of $27 per person) . I started it during the pandemic. I perform it every Sunday and I am now in my third year.
Sound bath meditation is an experience where a practitioner plays musical instruments to relax the body and calm the mind. In a sound bath participants generally lay down and listen to various sounds with closed eyes. When sound bath are part of a regular wellness routine many people experience many physical, emotional and mental health benefits.
The audience thus far has included people from around the world of all ages (including infants), races, creeds and family's. It is open to all. I have performed it for several thousand people over the past three years.
Music and sound help with meditation and concentration by focusing the mind.
It can help to create positive vibrations and ease one into a state of deep relaxation. Helping to relieving stress, tension and restore the body to a natural harmony.
Live Event Sponsorship
First sponsored free event
Sponsor this weekly music/wellness series
1 Month series (once a week)- $2500
1 Year- $30,000
Most recently I had the opportunity to host the first FREE monthly event that I am proposing to you. It was sponsored by a private patron of the arts. It was held in August and September 2023. A monthly series, once a week sound bath on the beach, every Saturday morning.
The sponsor proposal I am submitting to you, is to offer more of these free monthly series. You can sponsor as many months as you like.
The first series was a great success . " Sound Bath Meditation with Suburbanoid on the Beach" (Santa Barbara).
The series grew in attendance every week and it was full to capacity on it final weekend September 9.
People traveled over 100 miles to attend. From Los Angeles, Corona, Long Beach .
In addition we had families and folks from our local and surrounding areas community. Mothers, fathers and children of all ages.
Some who brought there friends from as far as Vienna, Austria.
Everyone left deeply relaxed with smiles and a peaceful feeling!
It is my hopes to continue this series for as long as I can. Helping to keep the series going in to the next year and available free.
This sponsorship will “feed two birds with one hand” It will make this event available and free to all in the community and give everyone, all ages, all income levels the opportunity to be introduced to this type of music and wellness for relaxation and stress reduction. It will also help me greatly to pay may bills and continue making a living and sharing this music with the public.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Wishing you a peaceful day,

Included below are some testimonies
Michael Lindfield, President of Meditation Mount acknowledges that “Jim Davis (the artist Suburbanoid) has graced us with the gift of weekly sound meditations. Through his musical skill and sensitivity, Jim creates a welcoming field of resonance that invites us to relax and enter into a deeper relationship with our essential nature.
“Suburbanoid’s sound is filled with invisible powers. The frequencies create a healing vibration that is both powerful and transformative, yet also extremely relaxing and peaceful to begin meditating or go deeper into the practice. We listen while unwinding before bed to lull us into a deep, restorative sleep as each piece is composed with careful intention and exquisite harmony,” say Sound Bath listeners Mike and Becca of Santa Barbara
My staff had a wonderful experience during a corporate retreat day. All 40 of us took part in one of Jim's 60 minute sound baths. Everyone totally enjoyed it and felt very refreshed after the experience. Everyone reached a super deep level of relaxation
